Old Yankee Ale received a red ribbon in 1997 at The Great Northeast International Beer Exposition in Providence RI.   In 1998, Old Yankee Ale received a bronze medal at The World Beer Championships in Chicago IL. One of the country's best water supplies, the Westerly White Rock artesian well water system, provides for a crisp, clean taste. Very well balanced, Old Yankee has a rich, malty foretaste that is very flavorful, but not heavy. The finish is dry with a hint of hoppiness.
